Elmbridge Model Club was recently asked to support Clandon British Legion’s VE-Day celebrations. Although this was at very short notice our members stepped up to the plate and produced a great static display.

The theme was of course WW2.

We were able to put together a remarkable broad range of models depicting those that flew during that conflict. Our car section, experts on all vehicles in miniature displayed a range of tanks with a very high standard of finish.

It was difficult not to think they were the real thing shrunk down to miniature.

It was a great event to support along with good food and beer and a thoroughly enjoyable event for all those who attended. Supporting events like this is not only fun but helps raise the profile of the club and can only be positive for us going forward.
